Alejandro Villazón

Dear faculty advisors, sponsors, delegates, ladies, and gentlemen:
"We build too many walls and not enough bridges" - Sir Isaac Newton
My name is Alejandro Villazón and it is a total pleasure and honor for me to be occupying the position of president of the Security Council and to be welcoming you to BIMUN XVIII. Committee through which will be debating and finding solutions or building "bridges" to the answers of the problematics that most negatively affect the international community nowadays. More than a model of the United Nations, this is an exercise and it is the foundation were the so desired peace will be constructed. This is why me, as well as my co-president and colleague Carlos Juan Castro, expect of all and each one of the delegates to be prepared to, with your contributions during the days of debate, weave the areas of peace and to find possible, pacific, and efficient solutions to the problems presented. We also hope from each member the disposition with the strictness the committee demands. Give your best in this process full of intellectual and academic enrichment.
As said earlier in the letter, it's a pleasure and I find it rewarding to help you in any doubt. We will be heedful, so do not hesitate in asking us anything about the topics or contacting us through the email: scbimunxviii@gmail.com, and remarking the use of the BIMUN XVIII Handbook.
Once again, welcome to BIMUN XVIII.
